It was a sunny hot day on the 7th of May and the U16 squad consisting of Emily ©, Joe, Theo, Jake, George, Dylan, Casey and Callum were excited to be playing against a new team, Longwell Green FC.
The coaches threw a curve ball at us and asked us to change formation, but this worked really well and showed that the team has the option of playing in different formations, depending on how the game is going.
There were no goals in the first half, because of the amazing work from all the players as a unit to keep the opposition from scoring.
During the second half BCCP took the lead via an amazing shot from Jake, the opposition was quick to reply and swiftly equalized.
BCCP then answered back again via an outstanding play from Callum passing it down the line to Joe who sent an insane through ball allowing Theo to score the winning goal of the game.
The score ended at 2-1 to BCCP and it was an amazing match to experience.
1 – 0 Jake
1 – 1
2 – 1 Theo (assist Joe)

Callum was awarded player of the week for great defensive play, and for setting up the winning goal.
