We are a Bristol City Associate Football Team.
We train on a Saturday at Imperial Sports Ground, Bristol between 12pm & 2pm on a 4G pitch.

CLUB HISTORY

Bristol City Cerebral Palsy FC began in 2018, when Bob Young founded the club with the aim of creating a dedicated, supportive environment for young players with cerebral palsy. What started as a small group has grown into a thriving community, now home to around 50 players and supported by around 20 volunteers who give their time, energy, and expertise to help the club.

Over the years, BCCP has expanded to meet the needs of players of all ages and abilities.

  • Satellite sessions launched in 2024, providing playing opportunities for female players
  • Comets followed in 2025, offering training for children age 5-12

The club has continued to grow competitively too.

  • In 2025, our junior players entered the Ability Counts League for the first time.
  • In 2026, our senior players followed, marking another milestone in the club’s progression.

In 2025, players traveled to Norway to take part in the Oslo International Football Festival for an unforgettable international experience. Then in 2026, we proudly hosted our own Bristol Cerebral Palsy Football Festival, welcoming teams and celebrating inclusive football within our community.

Our club culture is built on togetherness, and our calendar reflects that. We enjoy an annual Panto trip, take part in the Annual Celebration of Sport at Ashton Gate, and regularly go as a team to watch Bristol City, strengthening the bond between players, families, and volunteers.

Today, BCCP stands as a club shaped by teamwork, commitment, and shared pride. We continue to support players entering the England Talent Pathway and seek tournaments and fixtures to build experience.

Above all, BCCP exists because parents, volunteers, and players work as one, creating a club where everyone belongs and every player can thrive.

We are not just a team. We are a family too.

Everyone in the group provides some level of support.

This support allows Bob Young to focus on player and team development and Joe Bryant to concentrate on the development of the club.

Alongside football, we have an Annual Family Picnic and team building days out.
